Music Making in March

Updated: Mar 2, 2023

With wonderful memories of musical adventures in February, we head right on into March with more to come! It is always wonderful seeing you at past events and I hope you make some time to come on out to another performance or two, in town or out of town.

Triple Play had a lovely recital, where several students came up to me in the halls days later sharing how much they enjoyed the concert and really loved the program we selected and the instrumentation. Where are we off to next?

March also has me working with different Youth Symphonies such as Pasadena Youth Orchestra, Northridge Youth Orchestra on March 5th, Temecula Valley Youth Symphony on March 6th and Olympia Youth Philharmonic for upcoming performances. Witnessing how much these horn students improve in their horn sections is so rewarding. The goal is always to have fun and enjoy making music while continuing to improve and develop further as a young artist.

If you are in Monterey this month, March 18th at 7pm and March 19th at 3pm, come hear Brahms Symphony No. 4, Peter Lieberson will be singing Songs of Love and Sorrow and more. Tickets can be found here: https://www.montereysymphony.org

I am thrilled to announce that Green Room 180 will officially be opening its doors for business later this month. Please make sure to contact me directly for anything booking or Media related at tawnee.l@greenroom180.com

And finally, if you are a musician or possibly just a family member/friend who supports another musician, The Horn Guys is your one stop shop for everything music, including brass instruments, mouthpieces, accessories, lots of great sheet music and more. We will package up your order with love and send along lots of wonderful music making to come with your new items. Last month we had a special event where Norm Pierson from the LA Phil came to try out a couple of Tuba's and the one and only Doug Tornquist also came in to greet us with some of his students from USC. Boy oh boy, what a successful Tuba day it was!! Booker was also a big hit at the event. Thank you for reading and for all of the support you offer in the music industry.
